Minimum Skills For Venturers To Participate

As you have probably read, Armstrong 500 is a reasonably serious hike with lots of short, sharp stunts and some steep hiking.

Knowing West Gippsland in September, it may well be muddy and wet and cold.

Your Venturers should have good basic hiking and map skills, and need to be well prepared for the weekend.

Please ensure they come with the right gear. Any Venturers found to be hiking without adequate gear will be sent home.
